I wrote the first article when I was a freshman in the Air Force, back when I was still wet behind the ears and severely frustrated with how different the reality was, compared to the image I was given. My recruiters told me things that turned out to be blatant lies, or at the very least half-truths. It bothered me a great deal, especially when I spoke to my peers and discovered their mutual shock, and for a long time I regretted my decision to join up. Need a deeper understanding? But just hold on a second, big shot, and think about everything else. What about food, medical expenses, and rent? How much does all that cost? Well, the military pays for all of that stuff, too.

Karen Jowers March 29 Military daughters denied enlistment because of dependent mental health notations This military family didn’t know notations about mental health that would keep their daughters from enlisting — and that dependent medical records are merged with new active duty medical records. By seeking counseling for their two teenage daughters as their family coped with multiple moves and multiple deployments to Afghanistan, an Army major and his wife unwittingly prevented both girls from following their father, their grandfather and their great-grandfather into military service.

And neither knew Army and Air Force medical providers would have access to those records — and anything else in dependent medical records — if their daughters ever enlisted. And it puts the actions of the Army and Air Force in their cases, and those involving other dependents, at odds with the ethical judgement of some medical experts.

So I put in to be stationed near him. Will the Air Force station me there? What if it happens that I am pregnant will they station me at the base near him? I do not want to be without my husband during my pregnancy. First of all first let me tell you something you may not like to hear. Why did you join the service for you and your husband to be appart on a permanent basis?

He will not move and you may not be close to him. I just retired from the Army after 32 years of service as a Sergeant Major. I dealt with so many cases like yours. I truly hope I am wrong but I predict you and your husband will end up divorced. With that in mind do not even think about pregancy until you truly put your marriage to the test due to long separation due to military duties and see how strong your marriage is. If you have a child in the type of marriage arrangement you now have that child is going to be raised by a single parent by either you or your husband when there is not need to, that is sad.

Now, to your questions. The Air Force just like in the Army have to main goals, the Mission and the servicember.
